Currently I am working on a series of pieces that either incorporate or are inspired by the plastic netting that is ubiquitous in food packaging. As a material it is very practical, being lightweight and durable, but at the same time it is also incredibly flexible. Despite being almost immediately discarded by most people I find this type of netting to have a strong visual presence.

By translating the delicate nature of plastic netting into silver I am able to explore space and structure within my work and the introduction of other materials such as resin, Perspex and gemstones allows me to reconstruct packaging as something covetable and desirable.
